Description

This framed Photo of the German Bark "Mimi" shows the ship partially afloat and upright on the spit of Manzanita. It ran aground February 13, 1913, then later capsized as it was being pulled out to sea. It is the sister ship of the Glenesslin. Color was added by Harry Johnson in 1958. The picture was given to the NVHS by Ann Morgan on behalf of Jean (Reed) Prentiss. Tom Mock received it for the Historical Society August 26, 2008.
