Description

The article tells the story of "Holly" and his music career in education as well as how he loved the North Coast area. He shared his love of music with many people. He retired in Manzanita in 1964 where he enjoyed gardening and fishing with his wife Helen.
After his death in 1972 many of his friends as well as the City of Manzanita, Pine Grove Community Club, and the Oregon Music Educators Association gave money towards a memorial in his memory to be used in at the city park.
