Title

Hollensteds' park dream

Subject

City Park in Manzanita

Description

When Helen and Waldemar "Holly" Hollensted honeymooned in Manzanita in 1926 they felt there was a need for a park. This was due to a need for the children to have a place to play. They worked very hard to get the funding and the interest of the community to support a park. This they did and now there is a tennis & volleyball court as well as swings and a merry go round for young children. The park is located on 3rd street and pacific in Manzanita.
