Description

The official kick-off for Nehalem's 100th Anniversary was February 2, 1999 when a large group gathered at the United Methodist Church to celebrate the anniversary. Then on June 10, 1999 the summer celebration began. The events that year was a timber festival, a street dance, salmon feed and to end the celebration a big dinner and and dance at the Fire Hall. All was invited to dress up in costumes of the1890s. The celebration ended September 18, with another dance at the Fire Hall. The picture shows Debbie Stephens, Louise Christianson, Kay Covert, Doris Bash, and Imie Camelli(seated).
