March 14, 2020 and all future events for the foreseeable future:
3:00 NVHS Board meeting. Open to the membership.
THIS SPEAKER HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Speaker: Brian Atwater, scientist emeritus with the U.S. Geological Survey. He has used coastal geology to investigate earthquake and tsunami hazards. He contributed to “The orphan tsunami of 1700—Japanese clues to a parent earthquake in North America” and his NVHS talk will draw from eyewitness accounts in “Surviving a tsunami—Lessons from Chile, Hawaii, and Japan”
UNFORTUNATELY, PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS HAVE CAUSED THIS EVENT TO BE CANCELED. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A LOT OF INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT OF THIS EVENT AND WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE BRIAN ATWATER RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.
